APRIL MEETING - Stuart Robinson

MAY - OUR ANNUAL MEETING (members only)

Wednesday 15th May 2024, 1.45 pm

This is our annual meeting where we will review the year’s activities and accounts, and elect committee members.  Afterwards we will hold an Auction of Accessories, with proceeds going to Demelza.

JUNE MEETING - Dee Larcombe - 5 years as a nurse in India

Wednesday 19th June 2024, 1.45 pm

Dee will tell us about the 5 years she spent living and working as a nurse in India.

JULY MEETING - Nick Dobson - Agatha Christie -  Queen of Crime!

Wednesday 17th July 2024, 1.45 pm

An illustrated look at the life and career of the world's bestselling novelist.

AUGUST MEETING - Indoor and outdoor games

Wednesday 21st August 2023, 1.45 pm

Join us while we have a session of table games in the Hall and, weather permitting, some outdoor games in the garden.

SEPTEMBER MEETING - Fran Sandham - Walk Across Africa

Wednesday 18th September 2024, 1.45 pm

Critically acclaimed author and public speaker Fran Sandham took on the challenge of a lifetime by walking coast-to-coast across Africa, from the Atlantic on Namibia’s Skeleton Coast to the Indian Ocean near Zanzibar.
This was the first time on record anyone has crossed Africa solo entirely on foot by this route - or at least solo apart from a disastrous donkey.
He undertook this 3,000-mile journey with no backup, no support team, no sponsors, no film crew, and no strings attached.

OCTOBER MEETING - Sonia Case 'Burying the Ghosts'

Wednesday 16th October 2024, 1.45 pm

Sonia Case will talk about her book 'Burying the Ghosts' which is based on the true story of the author’s mother who escaped Nazi territories. The story spans five decades from her youth to her later years when past ghosts are finally put to rest. It explores themes of prejudice, refugees and identity, mother and daughter relationships, forgiveness and guilt.

NOVEMBER MEETING - Murder Mystery Play

Wednesday 20th November 2024, 1.45 pm

Some of our members will choose their parts, take up their props and read a murder mystery play by Linda Messham.  Let's see if the rest of us can guess 'whodunnit'!

DECEMBER MEETING - Our Christmas Celebration (members only)

Wednesday 18th December 2024, 1.45 pm

Our Christmas party - with Jon Fox telling us all about pantomime.

JANUARY MEETING - Pilates wih Sandra Franco

Wednesday 15th January 2025, 1.45 pm

Sandra will cover Pilates introduction, posture, balance, and core engagement, and a chair pilates session for some gentle physical participation.

FEBRUARY MEETING - Our 5th birthday party (members only)

Wednesday 19th February 2025, 1.45 pm

Coney Hall Village WI is five years old and we'll be having a party!  Firm favourite Tony Harris will be joining us for his 4th visit.

MARCH MEETING - Gardening theme

Wednesday 19th March 2025  1.45 pm

Stephen Harmer, Head Gardener at Tonbridge School, will give us a talk on garden history
